Nant yr Arian Hilly TT
A south‑westerly breeze and the rain staying away, set the stage for a cracking second round of the Ystwyth TT Series 2026 at the iconic Nant yr Arian Hilly course. Conditions were kind—dry roads, good visibility, and just enough wind to make the climbs interesting without turning the descents into a battle. Perfect testing weather and the riders delivered.
🔥 The Racing
It was a tight fight at the top, with just over 40 seconds separating the first four riders. Ieuan Andrew Davies took the win in style, stopping the clock at 34:08 and showing early‑season form that will make the rest of the series very exciting.
Not far behind, Kristian Bond powered home in 34:43, followed closely by Nathan Daverson in 34:49, both putting in strong rides on a course that never really gives you a moment to settle.
Dewi Hughes wasn’t far off the podium with a solid 35:06, while Lowri Richards and Emma Palfrey both produced impressive rides, finishing in 35:47 and 38:06 respectively.
Further down the field, the determination was just as strong. David Bond clocked 43:12, Anita Saycell finished in 45:12, and Martin Williams rounded out the evening with 45:50—all great efforts on a demanding route.

➡️ Looking Ahead: Round 3 on Wednesday 3rd June – The Llety Gwyn 10
The series now moves from the hills to pure speed. Round 3, taking place on 3rd June, will be held on the Llety Gwyn 10‑mile course—well known among club riders as the quickest of the Ystwyth TT routes. After the leg‑burning gradients of Nant yr Arian, this is where riders can settle into a rhythm, hold power, and chase those personal bests.
