Volunteer marshalls needed for Aber Cycle Fest’s big final weekend
Aberystwyth cyclists, family, friends – we need your help to marshall during Aber Cycle Fest’s big final weekend, particularly during the Friday criteriums in the town centre.
It’s a great opportunity to be close to the action and feel part of the team of volunteers who work so hard to bring this amazing festival to Aber year after year. It’s a supported role with no need for prior experience, and there’s a briefing event next Wednesday evening if you have any questions.
As a club, we’d love to see as many of our members and associates as possible getting involved in the festival in whichever way possible. You can fill in the online form here http://www.abercyclefest.co.uk/volunteers/ or simply turn up to the briefing event at the Academy pub in town at 6pm next Wednesday, 24 May. This week saw strong performances again from the familiar names of the past few weeks, but performing well also were new riders joining the series. There were some notable family performances, with three members of the Brewer family racing, as well as a Skot family pair-up. Next week the series returns to the Llety Gwyn course, for a 7pm start.
