Fast Night at Llety Gwyn as Lewis Takes the Win — Pugh Just One Second Off Club Record
Round 11 of the Ystwyth CC / Catalina Architecture 2025 Time Trial Series saw riders tackle the Llety Gwyn 10-mile course on Wednesday evening (16 July) in near-perfect conditions. With warm temperatures and little wind, it proved a fast night — and the times reflected it.
Gruffudd Lewis set the pace with a winning time of 20:56, keeping his strong season going. Caron Pugh followed with a brilliant 21:24, finishing just one second off the club senior 10-mile record — a superb effort that will surely inspire him for future rounds. Andrew Gittins rounded off the podium with 21:32, making it a tight battle at the top.
There were strong performances throughout the field, including from road bike riders (marked (R)), competing without the advantage of tri bars.
